Vika Gazinskaya Fall Winter 2012
Vika Gazinskaya once said in an interview that she loved making clothes ever since she was a child.
Well, a child’s imagination isn’t yet restricted by notions of right and wrong. When a little girl sees a piece of wallpaper with a beautiful pattern on it, she may as well use it to make a dress for her doll. She takes a colored piece of wood and calls it a diamond. She draws on fabric with pencils since there is nobody to tell her it is not the way people decorate clothes.
Here is the key to Vika’s genius and the appeal of her designs: she just hasn’t grown up at all.
