An Exercise in Color Blocking

Color blocking is a fun trend for spring. But why stop on just one item? Usually, the bolder the combination, the better, but the colors still need to go well together, so I’ve chosen an emerald green and orange asymmetric skirt to pair with the fabulous silk Bevza tee I got from Rtister.com. What other color would you wear with this tee? Let me know in the comments!

Bevza Spring 2013 runway show had a strong youthful and boyish vibe: garters (which I’m also wearing), short hair and little to no makeup, but the pieces themselves are very feminine as always with Bevza. Another theme of this collection was Bauhaus, hence the color blocked silk tops and prints resembling Cubist paintings like on my T-shirt.

Despite their professionalism and relatively well developed fashion industry, Ukrainian designers are still underrepresented in stores outside their home country, so I was overjoyed to find out about a new place that recognized the potential of an Ukrainian brand. Rtister.com is located in London but ships worldwide. It is a carefully curated e-commerce and social website that specializes on lesser known contemporary fashion brands from all over the world like the Parisian Aperlai and the Australian Beau Coops.
