The Most Talked About S/S 2011 Collection
Designer duo Nina Neretina and Donis Pouppis showed their spring-summer collection during Cycles and Seasons by MasterCard event in Moscow, which is known so far for supporting a selection of forward-thinking designers.
Nina & Donis S/S 2011 collection is based on the cut and texture of the medical uniform with 18th century costume and Disney’s Snow White as the additional sources of inspiration.
It is not the first time these designers play with color and shapes (you can find all their collections at ninadonis.com). In their own words, they don’t create clothes with sales in mind but rather focus on innovation. This particular collection presents an idea in its purest form, crossing the line between fashion and art.
The beautiful bubble of fashion is now a multi-billion dollar industry. With the constant task of looking fabulous we chase trends, worship brands and often forget one thing: it is not the uniform that makes the man.
