True Talent Always Gets Recognized
I’ve been a fan of his extraordinary talent for years. Probably, many designers had a moment like this, when you look at someone else’s designs and think: “What am I doing here?” Things he makes from leather are way beyond my imagination…
I know only a few things about Bob Basset:
1) he lives in the small town of Kharkov, Ukraine and works with a team of fanatics
2) he likes dogs (hence his nickname)
3) though his main specialty is metallurgy, leather has fascinated him since childhood. Now his experience in leatherworking counts to more than 20 years
4) his creations attracted many devoted fans and finally can be seen in many cool places like: Givenchy ad campaign, Vogue Hommes International, The New York Times Style Magazine, Vice Magazine and a short film The Gift, part of the Parallel Lines project from Philips Cinema and Ridley Scott Associates.
