Portlanders, you must be wondering what fashion event Jo Carter, the proprietress of Physical Element, will bring to you next? There’s been so many over the years and each one was truly unforgettable… Well, then save the date of Thursday, August 25th.
One of Jo’s latest finds, Ukrainian designer Christina Bobkova is coming to the U.S. for the first time ever to present her fall/winter 2011 collection. You will have a chance to meet the designer and try on pieces straight off the runway. Receive a special gift with purchase courtesy of Christina Bobkova.
“I’ve been carrying Christina Bobkova’s clothes in my boutique since her Fall 2010 collection, so this showing represents a full year of her presence in my shop. I feel like this collection represents her really coming into her own as a designer. This particular line is fully realized and cohesive. I’m very excited to show it to my clients.
Rather than just having a traditional trunk show with Christina, I felt that it was very important to also have a runway show in the shop. The garments really come alive on the human body and this collection is so layering focused I wanted my guests to see Christina’s total vision before them.
