Ukrainian Fashion Week S/S 2013: Day 4
Shows of the fourth day of Ukrainian Fashion Week: Litkovskaya, Bobkova, Domanoff
Bobkova
The more I look at Bobkova collections, the more I’m convinced that she makes clothes for adventurers. Different shades of blue she uses remind me of the ocean, sky, even outer space – everything that’s dear to a true adventurer’s heart. It is a pity you can’t see this but the models even wear blue contact lenses.

Litkovskaya
Lilia Litkovskaya never ceases to amaze me, as whatever theme she chooses to explore turns into something unexpected. For example, this collection was supposed to be about femininity and all its clichés. Flowers? Here they are – deconstructed and applied like a mosaic. Micro shorts are worn with an oversized calfhair top for contrast. Polka dots are here, both as a print and in cut-out leather pieces, but don’t remind of flamenco or the 30s. But, in fact, this collection is a huge step to feminine and refined for a designer who is known for her love of playing with volumes.

Domanoff
Designer duo Domanoff showed an almost all white collection, surrendering to the minimalist trend that invaded the catwalks this season. Still, body-hugging or cinched-waist full skirt dresses came out to be fun and playful.
