AURORA FASHION WEEK Russia presents the sixth season of International Fashion Week in Saint-Petersburg. For 2 years of its existence, AFWR turned from ambitious local project into third largest Fashion Week in Eastern Europe, uniting on its events more than 20 thousands professionals and passionate admirers of fashion-industry. In the last five seasons AFWR was visited by Thom Browne, Costume National, David Koma, Custo Barcelona, Mark Fast and many others. But the main mission of AURORA FASHION WEEK Russia is to promote interesting and talented Russian designers.

One of the key participants of the sixth season of AURORA FASHION WEEK Russia will be Alessandro Dell’Acqua. Despite the fact, that it’s relatively young (the first collection was presented by Neapolitan Dell’Acqua in Milano in 1996), this brand had already deserved the world-class reputation and had developed its own unique style. On the Fashion Week in Saint-Petersburg Alessandro Dell’Acqua would present its new collection S/S 13. AFWR plans to involve several other famous participants in the new season, but their names are kept under in strict secret.

The vital part of AURORA FASHION WEEK Russia remains the collaboration with our foreign partners – this time in Saint-Petersburg will be presented the American program by Depesha magazine in the person of young American designer Rubin Singer, also there will be a special Finnish program – Portfolio Finland, which will curate Minttu Vesala, the head buyer of Helsinki10 concept-store. The last, but not the least – show of the Dutch fashion-industry front liner Addy Van Den Krommenacker, coordinated with the festival “The Window into Netherlands”.

Apart from the fashion shows, AFWR will be remembered for its rich lectures program – in the new AFWR educational space on Nevsky,74 will take place a lecture of worldwide famous fashion theorist – Valerie Steele, who would speak about a correlation between fashion and homosexuality, also there will be a Blog Day in the framework of FASHIONOMICA educational program. The honoured speakers are Caroline’s Mode (Caroline Blomst), Stockholm Streetstyle (Daniel Troyse) and Facehunter (Yvan Rodic) and the team of professionals from the second biggest social network of the world – Vk.com, will give a master class on the web promotion of the blog.

Sixth season of AURORA FASHION WEK Russia will involve dozens of designers, established stars of fashion industry and young talents, special programs and lectures, thousands of guests – as well as fashion industry professionals, and its passionate admirers, who also want to become a part of the magical atmosphere of International Fashion Week.
